Yesterday was my grade 8 graduation! Yeahhhhhh. I had a black strapless dress that's a little longer than my knees. Ahahaha I looked kinda like a zebra because I had so many tan lines from staying outside a lot.

The ceremony was really funny ahaha. Two of my friends tripped on their dress while walking up to the stage to accept the diploma. There was a little slideshow with pictures of my grade throughout the year and there were even some from many, many years ago. Like when we were small, small children! It brought back a lot of memories and one person started crying. It was kinda awkward though because he just started bawling his eyes out and some people who sat around him comforted him while the rest just stared.

Anyway, when the handing of diplomas and slideshow was over, they handed out the awards. The first one was for visual arts and my teacher gave a speech about the person, saying things about their schoolwork or something. I wasn't quite paying attention at that time because I thought it wouldn't be me. While she was speaking, I thought maybe my friend Vincent (who is also my art rival, ha) would be the one who would get the award. Then as I listened closer, my teacher addressed the receiver as "she". So I thought, "okay, it's not Vincent." I really didn't know who would get the award because I didn't know of any females who were good at art. So then I was anxiously waiting for her to call out the name of who would be receiving the award. At the end of her speech, she called out the name "Kathy Luu" and I'm thinking, "WHOA! Who, me?" Ahahaha I SO did not see that coming. Although many of my friends and some of the other graduates knew I was going to win it. Sadly, that was the only award I won, but at least it's better than nothing.

So after the ceremony came the graduation dance. Ahahaha there was so much good food there! There was a huge plate of cocktail shrimp and most of it was gone by the time I got to it. Ahh, everyone's so greedy ahaha. Anyway, I stuffed myself with the other food that was there that was almost as good as the cocktail shrimp. My friends and I didn't dance at all ahaha. We're not dancers, I guess. The only time I "dance" is when I play DDR. So to pass the time, I played with the helium balloons!! Ahahaha it was the first time I ever tried sucking up helium. The first time sucking it up, I sounded like a chipmunk! Some of my guy friends sounded like high-pitched manly girls, although one of them sounds like that naturally...

And that was basically all I did for my graduation. Ahaha I'm excited/nervous about highschool next year. Oh well, my dad made me a deal about giving me money if I got really high grades so that made me happy.

OH! Ahahah I don't have any pictures at the moment. Because I'm lazy. I want to show everyone a picture of my award! Ahahaha! I may update this and add pictures later if I'm ever not lazy and ask my sister to upload them onto the computer. And since my friend Charmainne, unlike me, is so not lazy and actually got hers on the computer, I'll show you just one. It's not of anyone, but the angle is so pretty!
